The Mind can be a wonderful place
Winter landscapes, forests of snow,
Dozing off into them when learning what I already know,
Sounds of the hunt, of the cruelty of the World,
These seep into my subconscious when the mind begins to unfurl,
Then I think back to how it's a wonderful thing,
A place where I can do anything,
I can think up stories, write poetry and rhyme,
And yet all the time, I feel this emptiness inside,
For the mind can be a wonderful place,
We can imagine time travel or travel into space,
We can enter The Twilight Zone,
And have nightmares galore,
But somewhere deep down,
I know that's there more to explore,
Your own little world can be fun at
